Dr. Shyam was Trained in Pain medicine in Daradia Pain Hospital, Kolkata. Working in Cancer Pain and Palliative care clinic for 3 years. Completed his Certificate course in essential palliative care ( CCEPC Part 1) by IAPC. Pain and Palliative care clinic handles nearly 500 new OP patients and nearly 500 in-hospital consultations.
Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute has 9 state of art operative theatre which conducts 1200 to 1500 operations in a year. He published 1 article in pediatric anaesthesia, a few case reports in onco anaesthesia, few letters to editors in pain and palliative care journals. He conducted a study of Ultrasound-guided transmuscular quadratus lumborum block (QLB 3 ) for postoperative analgesia, in patients undergoing radical nephrectomy. A radiamozied control trial. (yet to publish) as primary investigator.
