About : 

Dr. Rakesh M Sharma is a distinguished Uro‑Oncologist with over 21 years of experience in cancer surgery. He holds an MBBS, DNB (General Surgery), DNB (Urology), Fellowship in Uro‑Oncology (Tata Memorial Hospital), along with FAIS, FMAS, and MNAMS.

Since August 2013, he has been serving as a full‑time Senior and Chief Consultant in Uro‑Oncology at Basavatarakam Indo‑American Cancer Hospital. He spearheaded the Robotic Surgery Program in 2017, which has since achieved close to 1000 robotic uro‑oncology procedures and more than 5000 laparoscopic surgeries. Over his career, he has performed over 10,000 uro‑oncology surgeries.

His expertise spans open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures, including:
