World Book of Records – London Certified Milestone!

As part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, in collaboration with TASK – Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge, has set a World Book of Records achievement:

Over 2 lakh students from 750 institutions across Telangana joined simultaneously in the Youth for a Cancer‑Free Tomorrow pledge, coupled with a powerful awareness session on cancer prevention. This is the largest synchronized cancer prevention pledge ever recorded — a true movement for health, hope, and prevention.

We were honored to have Dr. Ullaji Eliyazar, Joint Secretary – World Book of Records (South Region, India), witness the event and formally present the World Book of Records certificate to our Trust Board Member Shri JSR Prasad Garu, CEO Dr. K. Krishnaiah, Associate Director Dr. Kalpana Raghunath, Medical Superintendent Dr. Phanikoteswara Rao, CFO Shri Alwar Narayanan, and COO Shri Sunill Tandon.

In recognition of the pivotal role played by TASK, a certificate was conferred virtually to Shri Shrikant Sinha, CEO – TASK, and symbolically handed over to the TASK team. As a gesture of gratitude, our institute felicitated Dr. Ullaji Eliyazar and extended appreciation to the TASK team for their invaluable collaboration.

This World Book of Records honor reflects our enduring commitment to compassionate care, prevention, and public health advocacy. Together, we are building a legacy of health, hope, and a cancer‑free future.

This ELNEC workshop is designed to empower nurses with essential knowledge and practical skills to deliver high-quality palliative care across hospital, hospice, and home-based settings.

The session focuses on strengthening nursing leadership, improving pain and symptom management, and ensuring smooth care transitions for patients with serious illness. Through global best practices, interactive discussions, and real-world tools, participants will gain confidence in providing compassionate, patient-centred care.

The workshop also emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, caregiver support, and self-care for nurses—helping build resilience and sustainability in palliative care practice.
